High range is faster than I want to mow my tight spaces, but covers my acre twice as fast as my John Deere tractor mower. Only down side is its hillside performance, but it is not rated for hill mowing and it really does well enough. Just loses a bit of control when sidehilling. Climbs hills that my JD made me think would tip over. Overall a great mower with plenty of power and speed.
